Vicmarc VL300!!! - Victoria
Hi guys,
For those that have been waiting for a decent deal on a Vicmarc, I just stumbled upon this during a minute of boredom -
Vicmarc VL-300 wood lathe | Miscellaneous Goods | Gumtree Australia Yarra Ranges - Millgrove | 1232607546
A Vicmarc VL300 Variable Speed, Long-bed lathe with heavy duty stand, additional banjo, long tool rest, 3 point steady... looks in the images and description to be in very good condition (just a bit dirty/dusty from the looks of it).
I'd been looking for about 18 months and haven't seen a deal this good in Victoria before. I'd jump on this if I hadn't just bought a Vicmarc very recently.
Get on it!!!
You're welcome! .
I have zero affiliation with the seller - whoever he/she is.
Cheers,
Dom

I would jump on it and sell your other lathe.
Two banjos with the 600mm double tool rest, neat.
Plus a steady, plus a long bed, plus, plus, plus.
Mick.

Yep, it's a good deal for sure, and they don't seem to come up in Victoria.
I am not good at selling things - the process stresses me out so i'll stick with my VL200 swivel head. Had this have come up first I wouls have definitely jumped on it. I also bought mine with two banjos and a 600mm rest.
That VL300L is literally exactly what I was hoping to find, with no success for 18 months.
Cheers, Dom

Ah, must have sold quickly - not surprising. It was $3700. In near-new barely used condition according to the seller but was a 1999 model. New would be approx. $7700- (but a short bed with extension rather than long bed which is no longer made) so a good deal IMO. Oh well, sorry we were too late.
Cheers, Dom
