Default Wadkin rd 16 inch planer

    G’day folks,

I have for sale my Wadkin RD planer. It has 16 Inch cutter head which, from what I’ve been told by forum members, was a special order cutter head. It is a two knife skew cutter head with provisions to take mounding knives and cuts extremely well. It has a four horse power 3 phase motor which is original to the machine. This particular machine was manufactured in 1953. It has been restored and is in great working order. It does not have a guard fitted but I have been in contact with Chris Vesper and he is willing to work on making a pork chop/spring loaded guard for the machine. If you would like anymore information or pictures of specific things, please don’t hesitate to ask.
    Located in Newcastle N.S.W.
I can help organise freight if required.

    Price: $3300

You are welcome to come take a look and see what you think. It’s a fantastic machine. Bigger is better, that’s what they say don’t they?

Haha true. However, I am working in a 2 car garage with single phase 240v, and fitting metal work in as well, so I think a bit large for me unfortunately.
