Hi,
On the label it says: Recommended for furniture trim, moulding or any bare wood interior surface (not recommended for floors or exterior surface). The label also says to pre-treat softwoods by lightly wiping the wood's surface with a cloth moistened with danish oil. Immediately wipe the surface completely dry and proceed with testing the oil for colour on a hidden section of the wood.
Hope that helps.

I would be surprised if it wasn't suitable for a workbench top. Danish oils tend to really soak in well and harden as they dry over a few days to a week, but it's the sort of finish you could add a thin coat every day or so, lightly buffing with a rag around 20-30mins after applying so it doesn't get sticky. I use D/O for most of my stuff, and unlike plain poly-urethanes, D/O is very easy to repair, clean, or touch up, just wipe a thin coat on, and buff 20-30 mins later.
Because it's so easy to apply, I've done upwards of over 20 fine coats on some woodwork items, and the way the grain pops just has to be seen to be believed.
If you want a really smooth surface, buff it on with some very fine wet and dry sandpaper, or 0000 grade steelwool, and then buff off with a rag before it gets sticky.
cheers, Ian

Could you send (PM) a link to me for it at that price? All the ones I found were for $40-$50 and I was trying to price fairly. Certainly not trying to rip anyone off.

I've never seen any brand of Danish Oil for less than around $45 or so for a 1 litre, $15 seems amazingly cheap!
