Default Second attempt (had to fix the first attempt)

Well the chopping board I made ended up twisting, so i put it through the thicknesser and thinned it down to 6mm. I then machined a couple more boards the same thickness and glued them together to make my own version of Jarrah 3ply. This worked well, I burnt the mouse on the other side to make it reversible. I found a piece of weathered timber from the yard cut it, machined it and glued it together to make a base for the cheese board to hold the cheese knives. The timber wasn't jarrah as I first thought, it was what I think is sheoak. I cut the hollowed shape out on the cnc and coated everything in liquid paraffin (this turns the wood a very dark shade). Overall it turned out quite good and the wife was suitably impressed. As these going the be christmas presents for my son, my wife thought a crate for wine bottles would be an appropriate accessory, so I created one which allowed me to practice my pyrography again.
