Pyrography Pen as branding iron.
Hi All,
Im a student at Sturt school for wood in NSW and I'm looking for a Pyrography pen/soldering iron that can house a branding head (not to expensive either). The CNC guys recommended one with an adjustable heat setting that can generate 700-800f of heat.
Thanks for your time/help.
Adrian.
P.S. Apologise if there is already a thread with this matter but i couldn't find it.

8" and 10" iron nails/spikes have 3/4" heads.
I carve brands in those with a Dremel and cutoff wheels.
Messy, you need good dust control.
Add some sort of a wooden handle.
Heat them with a propane bottle torch.
Every kind of wood seems to have a different cremation temperature.
I know some wood carvers with physical challenges, they can't sign their carvings.
I make signature/custom branding irons for those people.

I have seen some soldering irons that have a threaded tip, and will take a patterned tip .
Have a look on the net, ebay , cart100, are 2 to look at , I recently brought a soldering iron type tool from Riot Art supplies,
Which has a threaded fitting , this may suit your needs , was under $20, from memory.
