    Default Got the Bird

Took SWMBO to the local Scrap Store* (don't say I don't know how to give a girl a good time) for supplies for the village kids craft sessions that she runs. Not much there for me, I don't have a lot of use for cardboard tubes or pink self-adhesive plastic, but I did find a bin of leather off-cuts including some Ostrich.
Even better is that my leather went into the trolley and was paid for out of the housekeeping money.
Must have scored about 8-10 square foot if it. Not used bird skin before as the little fellows in my garden don't offer much in the way of usable leather.
I made a drawstring bag and now I need a more ambitious project. I did consider a pair of ostrich skin ledehosen but with my old legs that might not be such a good idea.
    * Craft Store - local facility for affordable art materials and clean re-useable waste, ends of line, off-cuts etc., donated by local businesses for use in craft activities.
