Default Randwick Sydney - Collect a parcel?

    Hi all,

Is there a member here who can pick up a parcel from Randwick for me?

My son wishes to buy a camera off a dude on Gumtree and they are hesitating at the courier collection (why??!!!).

Once collected, I'll book a courier to collect it from yours.

If anyone can help out, much appreciated.

Under the current lockdown and stay at home rules that’s probably not going to happen until after September. COVID-19 Restriction Checker | healthdirect

Thanks. I was wondering what the rules for Sydney were.

I was highly unsure as things are so fluid. Its hard to keep up!

    Be safe.

Unfortunately "courier collection" scams are rife, and often quite crafty in their execution. Mostly they involve collection of goods after "evidence" of payment has been provided. The payment is then proved fraudulent and reversed leaving the seller minus the goods. Or it is the classic over payment scam asking the seller to pay the courier on the purchasers behalf and "refund" the "over payment" via bank transfer, gift cards etc.

Not surprising that the seller won't accept this transaction. Buying or selling | Scamwatch

    All true.

Unless the seller is prepared to take PayPal and use a courier, I see no way they'll sell anything in this lockdown.

Or anyone for anything for that matter...

I agree with you, but sadly the days of trust in someones "word" are almost gone. Even on the WWF there is a considerable level of trust in completing a transaction.
