Sassafras 14ft
I am considering building a 14ft Sassafras canoe. I have a dream of involving the grandchildren in the building process to some extent. (I've been told that that is indeed a dream) Any advice on the idea and/or the suitability of the design?
I've seen reports on the building process but no real critical comparison with any of the other numerous designs? Is it a good kids canoe? How does its stability compare with others?
I think others would be easier to build but the Sassafras 14 looks good and has nice lines. My one experience of building a Chris Kulczycki kayak was that the plans are good and the kayak performs well.
