Default 14" Bandsaw - replacement motor

The motor on my old 14" bandsaw burnt out yesterday tripping the safety switch and making some interesting smells.
Its an old WA-14M which I got off an old chap who was retiring.

Now I'm faced with the reality of not having enough money to upgrade to something decent but still needing a bandsaw for ongoing projects... so repairs it is.
I'm not going to try and revive the old motor... electrical work is not my forte.

What I'm wondering is if I can take this opportunity to increase the power of the motor. The current motor is a 3/4 HP motor and struggles with resawing.
Is it feasible to put a 2 HP replacement motor in and the rest of the unit will deal with the extra grunt?
And regardless of what I replace it with (like for like or more powerful), where am I best to source said motor from?

    TIA

Make sure that the replacement motor is 4 pole, so that you can use the same pulley size. The original pulley will probably not fit the shaft on the bigger motor.

I'm no expert, but I note that the pulley has 4 speeds possible. Would you perhaps be able to use a 2hp, 2 pole, 2840 rpm motor from an old garden chipper on the smallest diameter on the pulley? You would lose your multi speed capability, but you'd certainly have some grunt.
