I'm from US and we have lots of good suppliers for replacement parts. You try to check ebay, they have wide selection of band saw tires.

    Default The Tyres / Tires.

    Hi All,
It amazes me that a great part of the time, that this question comes up.
I don't understand how this happens, wanting a new Tyre Replacement.
I have had my 14in. since 1987, gone through heaps of blades, & cut Tons / Tonnes of wood in that time period. Just have a look in my Shed, & outside as well to attest to what I have cut, BUT never have I had trouble with my Tyres.
Every time I put a New Blade on My BS, it is written down on my record sheet.
I must admit, that I only use 3/8in. x 6TPI Blades, never loosen my Blade at any time ever.
Maybe I'm just lucky, but I do think that I look after my BS.
    Regards,
    issatree.

I think it maybe lack of use? My mate bought it second hand and I went with him,
it's the first time I have ever seen it.
    Thankyou for the replies!

Issatree, you may have polyurethane tyres on your bandsaw which I understand have a very long life.
I went to use my 14" Chinese made bandsaw today, and the tyre on the lower wheel flew apart. This was/is a rubber tyre which has become hard and brittle. The saw is about 10 years old and this was the original tyre.

    Cheers

My bandsaw came with bits of bicycle inner tube stuck to the wheel for a tyre……Depends on the age of the machine and history it's had before you got it.

If your going to fit new tyres make sure you you heat it in boiling water not just hot, it makes a bit difference to the amount of stretch and the ability to get it on.
