    I didn't know there was anything other than 2880rpm or 1440rpm ...

    I guess it must be a 6 pole motor ... ?

    Is it single phase?

    Maybe a faster motor?

    Cheers,
    Paul

The motor is a three phase and yes, I'm guessing a 6 pole which should make it run smoother as it is like a 6 cylinder engine compared to a 2. I think the speed is good. I have the option of 2 speeds by changing the belts. The casting on the wheels are not that accurate so looking at it last night it could be the wheels. LS Barker said they were balanced pretty good. I have spent enough money on the machine so I'm going to use it as is for the time being. I cut a .05mm vener off some douglas fir last night and it came up reasonably good so I am happy for the time being.
