    Thumbs up New use for band saw.

    Had stacks of old documents to dispose of,so with all the concern about identity theft started up the shredder. Too slow!

    Nice compact piles through the band saw. Much faster.

    Good one. When we lived in PNG, one of the blokes used the have "The Times" overseas edition sent out from the UK. It was rice paper, rolled very tightly. After he left, the local lads used to get it and run the rolls through the bandsaw for cigarette papers.

    Blade stood up very well.

    Camera has flat battery.

    Was a reasonable amount of dust but not obnoxious like some timber dust.

    I often cut up old phone books on the bandsaw, which we recycle in the printmaking studio for hand-wiping the ink off etching plates. Also cut various rolls of paper/cardboard to length, like the end-rolls of newsprint.
