Which bandsaw?
I'm going to replace my bandsaw. I use it mainly for boatbuilding-related work but also resawing, cutting rounds for woodturning and general furniture work etc. It's the tool that frustrates me most - I always seem to have trouble adjusting guides and setting the correct tension etc. I'd really like a good quality, bullet-proof machine that's powerful, stable and easy to set up and use. Any recommendations? I don't mind spending a bit on it. Rick

Have a search around here for bas-350 (carbatec) or bp16a (hare and forbes) they are both popular under the $1000 mark. There are others that are better around the $1500 mark.
I have the bas 350 and have found it great so far. Second hand for ~$400Cheers,
Shannon.
