    Default Bandsaw blade stabilizer

Hi, Does anyone know where I can purchase a bandsaw blade stabilizer? I see that Timbercon has one type but would prefer to find a local supplier as I'm in Brisbane.

The stabilizer is basically a ball bearing roller guide that runs parallel to the blade but has a groove where the blade slides into reducing sideways movement. This stabilizer is used for small blades like the 1/8" etc.

    Cheers,
    Shane.

I've only seen the Carter brand one, and only on-line from places like Lee Valley, which is where I bought mine. Now all I have to do is repair the trunions on the bandsaw table.

Wow, Thanks. Hopefully you will be able to find it. Just got a phone call from Timbercon replying that they don't stock the stabilizer anymore .
    Cheers,
    Shane.

Yep, That looks like it. I'll just have to check my bandsaw and see if it fits.

    Default Carter retailer in Oz

I brought a Carter stabilizer for my Hammer N4400 from these guys.
They were very quick and did not charge me for postage.
