Bandsaw blade supplier.
I’m very soon to leave where I work. One of the things that I did many moons ago was to make my own bandsaw blades. So I live in the eastern burbs of Melbourne Can anyone suggest a good bandsaw blade supplier. My bandsaw is 640mm throat so not small.

Not in the Eastern suburbs but McDivens in Williamstown make quality blades.

Hi and thanks for the tips, have you decided to try the bi-metal blades or for that matter Tungsten tips or staying with the conventional steel blades?

Timber Wolf Bandsaw Blades US
With some certainty, I feel many would know Timber Wolf brand of bandsaw blade. In the past I used their blades to breakdown large sections of timbers I felled and then milled for furniture making, but that was in 1978.
Like so many Japanese handsaw blades, impulse hardening (Manufacturing processes), and by this I don't imply it is the best or only methodology for hardening blades.
However, from experience, impulse hardened handsaw blades were use and throw away types, as are Timber Wolf blades, but the upside is that they last a long time. The worst part is new costly postal charges, which naturally create a better home market.
