    Default bandsaw blade width

    Hi, first post,
been viewing this great forum for a while, and keep comming back..and back.

I'm setting up a small home workshop and have no experience.

I'm purchasing a band saw (probably a Hammer N4400) and was looking for guidance on bandsaw blade widths. I couldn't find a difinitive answer on bandsaw blade width here, but found a site with a chart on cutting radius bandsaw width and thought it'd be handy here.(i've no affiliation with site)

    http://www.allbandsawblades.com/blade_width.htm

Please let me know what width bandsaw blade you always use. Whether you have one blade for 90% of all your work, and another for the other odd job??

    thanks.

Maximum blade on the hammer is 19mm, teepee.

The general purpose blade is about a 6tpi skip tooth (ie: 3tpi) by 3/8"/8mm wide.

    Cheers,

    eddie

I use 3/8" blade in general, then switch to a 3/4" blade for any heavy resawing.
How much wood could the woodchuck chuck if the woodchuck could chuck wood?

    Default Hammer Bandsaw

I have never heard of the Hammer brand of bandsaw (or any other tool for that matter). A search of the web finds posts about it, but no other information. Can you point me to information so we can include it in our bandsaw list.

    Thanks,
