Yup got 2 good Q's for you...
1. approx how much are your straight edges worth?
2. My Bsaw(sherwood BAS470)can take blades from 6mm to 38mm... would a blade smaller than 6mm be ok or will it snap soon as I use it?....................................................................

Welcome on board Brad! I'm sure people will have plenty of questions for you.
I'm after a price on a few blades for my panel saw, has a split scriber and cuts mainly melamine board. I need another blade for melamine cutting (bearing in mind it's got a scriber and won't need a triple chip blade). Can you give me a price on a 300mm blade and also on a 350mm blade for comparison. If the difference isn't too great I'd go the 350 for the odd occasion I need more depth of cut. Also need a price on a 400mm rip blade. All to have 30mm arbour. Postage/courier to Kuranda, North Qld. You can PM or Email the prices if you like.
Thanks in advance,

Harden carbon- most common
stellite tipped- used mainly for resaw & log bandsaws from 3" to 14" wide
however we do carry 1-1/2" & 2" wide for horizonal machines.
T.C.T. bandsaws- for very special needs.
As for TPI ( teeth per inch) this depends on your timber a general guide
is the deeper the cut the less teeth you need. We carry blades from
1 tooth to the inch to 32 teeth per inch...

Hi Saw Doctor...
On an American group that I belong to, the members sing the praises of the
1" Lenox carbide blade for all resaw and veneer work. Can you supply this blade?
I already have a Lenox 1" bi-metal from you and am quite happy with it, but next time I would like to try the carbide.

Please bear in mine the yanks nor the euro's don't have what we call hardwood !! they don't even no the meaning of real hardwood.
Australian hardwood exsplodes up to 4 x its chip size in the cut therefore
clogging the gullets, The blade you speck of is great for softwood but i
wouldn't use it for hardwood & yes we do have it..

Band Saw Blades for cutting logs
Brad,
Welcome aboard. We use a 3" wide stellite tipped blade blade on our Dinasaw bandsaw (see avatar). When we bought it second hand, it came equipped with 11 narrow kerf b/s blades. Last year we purchased two new blades from HB but these are a somewhat wider kerf.
On a bandsaw, can you advise the advantages/disadvantages of the narrow and wider kerf blades for cutting up logs?
regards
Kev M
