    Default Bandsaw purchase

Hi. I can get a Superco 14" bandsaw on stand, 4 speed, with 4 spare blades for $200.
It look s solid enough but is old, built in 1991. One owner, well looked after
    Any advise?

A pic would help, does it look similar to the generic 14" from H&F , and Carba-tec, if so then parts should not be an issue,.

There is little that cannot be substituted on these machines, IE: bearings, blade guides, motors, wheel tyres, etc,.

If the machine has been well maintained and cared for, then $200, is value, especially as it is 4 speed,. I would look seriously at buying this machine, you might try and haggle the price a bit, that would be all the advice I can give with out seeing the saw .
