The same thing happened to me when I first bought a bandsaw!

Stuffed if I could figure out how to fix it, in the end I just chucked the blade away.
I'd like to know just how to fix it though.
    Cheers

    Hi Signor la Huerta!

Have you checked the blade tension post nail nicking episode?

In any case, the cost of having a blade "doctored" might well be more than the $12-$15 for a new blade (bi-metal and exotica excluded!)

    Cheers

Have you thought of using a metal detecor such as sold by Carbatec - their MMD-2 @ $49 + freight? (page 18 current Carbatec catalogue) - and no, I have no affiliations with the big 'C' other than being a (mostly) satisfied customer.

    Cheers!

The wandering is caused mainly by the "set" being upset by nicking a nail.

You may be able to get a little more life from the blade by:

1: Get a block of wood about 2 x 1 and about 8" long ( can't be bothered with metric).
    2: An oilstone about medium.

The method. Hold the wood against the side of the blade and on the opposite side lightly apply the oilstone to take any high spots off. Repeat on other side.

I have done this on the odd occasion when I have no spare blades.
