    Just my take on flat wheels. I dont think the tracking adjustment works the same as on a crowned wheel, the tracking adjustment on a flat wheel is used to position the blade correctly for its width and on a crowned wheel its primary function is to set the curvature of the blade which in turn sets the "drift" hence the need to set it using the centre line of the wheel so that all blades track the same or close to it when changed. Of course the curved effect will be lessened as the blade becomes narrower.
