Just a thought , what condition are the tyres in , are they worn ?? if they are then check to see that the back edge of the blade is not fouling on the wheel rim .

This could cause the blade to angle in slightly and cause your problem.??

Does it do the same with a narrower blade?????

To make sure you set up your band saw wheel correctly, check if the inside of the gullets of the blade teeth align with the center line of the wheel. This applies to all crowned wheels or not even crowned. The position of the band wheels wouldaffect the blade tracking. Along these lines, when the wheels are properly aligned, blade tracking follows. The blade guides, bearings, tires will affect the tracking too. Have you tried using different blade?

    Default Bandsaw Tracking Problem

    Hello Peter,

I'm also new to using my machine so certainly no expert. I have a Hare & Forbes BP500 and recently had similar tracking concerns where my 25mm 3tpi band was tracking to the front of the wheel. The back edge of the band seems to happily ride on the crest/middle of the wheel and doesn't seem inclined to shift from that position. Have you checked your guide clearances, particularly the the one's at the back of the band as too large a gap may cause the band to flex back more than specs allow possibly causing the band to track differently?
I plan to cut up a cedar log this week-end so I'll be trying some tensioning and guide variations to get a better end product.
    Good luck!

    Regards
    Michael
