    Question Small Bandsaws

Having sold all my large equipment I have decided to just turn small items ,lace bobbins, jewellry, pens etc.
I would like to canvass the contributors to these forums for their opinions on the best small bandsaw. Price is not a huge consideration, but obviously the cheaper the better.
I have done a search and the best review seems to be of the Ryobi BS1001. 10".

Ryobi 1001 seems to be the only small bandsaw with roller guides all around. Looks like a good choice to me.

Check out the Metabo BAS260. I bought mine about a year back, bought a range of blades (Henry Bros) and have not been disappointed.

I have a Carbatec BAS-250. Great little saw with 120mm depth of cut, 245mnm throat and a 1/2 HP motor.
Has roller guides both top and bottom. Dust shute and 45 degree tilt on table.
I use good quality 6mm x 6tpi blades for most work including cutting turning blanks in Jarrah up to 60mm and thicker in softer wood.

I also have a Metabo BAS260, and am absolutely rapt with it's performance.

HAve had a look around the web but cant find the Ryobi 1001 anywhere - at least not in Australia. Not listed on the Oz Ryobi site so any ideas if it is available and if so where can I source one??
