This is dangerously off topic, but seems silly to start a new thread just because of it, and I don't know how to take this conversation to another more relevant thread.
I want to do anything and everything with the saw... but I'm guessing, mainly ripping of thin stock to size and some resawing. 12'' throat is useful for some crosscuts and mitres too.
I thought that there just had to be three blades that everyone must have. I'm guessing a 12mm with low tooth count (tc) a 12 mm with high tc and a thinner blade with high tc for scroll work.

Jorge,
Depending on your Bandsaw , and what you want to do will govern your blade choice, .
I have a small bench top unit and am severely limited to blade choice, 1/8" 10 3/8" , I have a 1/2" blade but it was not successful.
best off to talk to your Blade supplier and to the Forum , .

There is a type of blade that is designed specifically to reduce vibration. This type is called a variable pitch or vari-pitch tooth blade. It is a tooth design that combines more than one tooth pitch that reduces chatter and vibration. Also allows broader material size variation for varied cutting applications.
