    Default Blade Size

    Hi,
I am attempting to work out what size blade fits my RYOBI HBS100S bandsaw. I have seen on this forum that you can work it out using a piece of string around the drive wheels. My question though is that where should the tensioner be positioned when taking hte measurement since this increases or decreases the size measured?

    Thanks
    Nnic

Measure the lenght on the shortest settings then adjust to the longest setting and pick the mid range

This gives you plenty of adjustment

On the same topic, I have a similar question. Having established the length How is the width measured, from back of blade to the tip of a tooth, or back of blade to base of a tooth. Counting tpi I Can work out myself
    Thanks

Thanks for all the help guys they have been quite helpful including the article Bosox.

I have also managed to get a manual from Ryobi in pdf format. It is not in the best condition, looks like it is a copy y of a many time photocopied manual, but it is readable.

You're welcome. Do you own a new Ryobi saw?

Default I got an answer from RYOBI

    Hi,

I thought I would post this just in case someone else gets caught up looking. In Australia you can get blades from Bunnings Special Orders. There are two blade sizes available from Ryobi for the HBS100S, they are

    4632115 1425mm x 10mm x 6TPI, and

    4632116 1425mm x 6mm x 10TPI.

The cost of the 6TPI blade was $25.00
