Blade Tracking
Has anyone increased the manufacturers tooth set on their bandsaw blade. I have just increased the set on my blade, and they are tracking much better in deep stock. The kerf width now is close to 2x blade thickness.
Prior to changing the tooth set, there was visibly little difference between the thickness of the kerf compared to the blade width. That type of tooth set may well suit a larger, more powerful bandsaw, but not on my smaller unit.
Stewie;
I have a Metabo BAS317. Same model as in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EVoxqI7abc

Yes, I have once or twice, it's not something I need to do much tho, the need might start to arise after a few sharpenings, set is lost as the tooth height is lost, it will depend on how it's cutting.
I think from memory I had a disaster moment, hit a nail or something and had to repair the blade and I added a bit of set. Worked ok after that.
