Full Boar bandsaw - 750W?
I've done a fair bit of searching on the forums (and on google) on the Full Boar 750W bandsaw from Bunnings and I can't find much info on it. There have been a few threads here on the forums on the smaller 420W 245mm model but none that I can find on the larger 750W 305mm model.
Anyone had any experience with this model? Or even the smaller 420W model? I'm up in FNQ so I don't have brick and mortar store access to any of the larger hardware chains like Timbecon, Carbatec, Hare & Forbes, etc so it would be great for me to just to run down to Bunnings and pick up a bandsaw in store instead of having to pay for shipping from elsewhere...

Anything smaller than 14"/350mm size wheels will break blades constantly due to metal fatigue. IMOP.

What sort of work are you planning to do with a bandsaw?
Finding a second hand 14" bandsaw is a good start and shouldn't be too expensive.

What are your planned uses for a band saw?
I've looked at the FBs in the local Bunnings, lots of chessium used in its construction. From what I could see it looks like if it was to be used for anything other than perhaps toy making that it would not survive for too long.
Most basic 14" BS would be superior to the FBs.

I have an Aldi (8” wheel) which I’ve had for some years. I run 4mm through to 12mm blades and haven’t broken one yet. The reason is I use the correct thickness blades to suit the wheel diameter.
On saying that, it’s still a toy (but it does the small jobs fine) and it will have to do until I find more room in the shed

Cheers for the thoughts so far guys.
It won't be getting any rough use, probably toy making, cutting small and curved pieces for jigs, maybe boxes. I can't see myself resawing dense hardwoods on it or anything like that.
I've been keeping my eye out on gumtree and FB marketplace for secondhand bandsaws but they don't seem to come up very often here. Part of the downside of not living in a capital city I guess.
