Bs 500
I've just had a look at the Woodfast BS 500 bandsaw made in china, very nice machine 465mm wdth of cut about $1,500. Any body considering a new bandsaw should give this one serious consideration, normaly I keep well away from "made in china" buut this unit appears to be very well made.

It is a contradiction the bulk of items Made in china and other Asian locations I would not use if they were given to me, but I have no problem if something is well made, wether or not it will last 40 years like the other Woodfast I have, remains to be seen, I must also add that it took a lot of convincing for me to even take the time to go and have a look at it, as I am about to move and this will require the building of a new shop it will be several weeks before it's up and running
