I'm looking around for a small bandsaw, and was wondering if the Metabo 260 Swift is the sweet spot in terms of capability for price.

My reason for buying a small one is that I don't have room for a floor standing model in my shed, and only need something large enough to cut stock for boxes.

Currently I have this small Ryobi bandsaw, Ryobi - RYOBI Tools with a Henry Bros blade, which cuts ok, I'm guessing it can be improved upon by one of these saws, but there are so many threads just knocking the capabilities of small BS that I can't figure out what performance increases I'd see.

I've looked at Ledacraft, Jet, and Carbatec's offerings but the Metabo seems better quality, and the roller guides seemed very solid.

Can anyone offer any expert views?
