    Hi Bob
I have a H&F 430 I bought one year ago from Toowoomba Wood Works (it always pays to give Ken a plug!). Can't remember the price exactly, but around what you have mentioned.
The table size is 435 mm x 435mm and maybe a bit small. I regularly resaw 200mm spotted gum and iron bark. No problems with the motor stalling etc. I use a 4tpi blade 6/8" wide. Getting the setup right is the main concern. I note the drift of the cut and make ajdustments using a bit of scrap. I also use a higher temporary fence. Oh, the mitre slot in my table is standard size.

Went to Carbatech this afternoon and got shown over the merits of each machine ie helpful service. The machines on display were clean and rust free.
Their basic machines looked similar to the H&F models but seemed to be a bit better put together and with much better fences, full mitre slots, much more solid wheels, and a 5 year warranty.

So I forked out on the 19"er and a 32 mm ripping blade and now it's sitting in its crate the driveway till I build a set of wheels for it. Now the real question is, how in earth am I going to fit it in my shed?

Sounds good Bob By coincidence I was in C/tec Melbourne today and also looked at the bandsaws, definitely like that 19", certainly looks like it will do the business.

Hope you will be happy with your choice.

    Cheers guys.
Set up will have to wait a while. Lotsa other projects on the go and I need to reorganize my shed and DC and build a set of wheels first so I wheel it around the back.
