Default Changing blades on a Hafco bandsaw

I've got the 310 which is similar to the 360 and I'm having troubles removing the blade particularly through the blade guide. I've read conflicting advice on the height of the blade guard before removing the blade. Some say the top of the blade guard should be below the center of the wheel and others say move the guard as high as it can go. Which is it? Anybody got some good tips on how to remove the blade on the Hafco. Other band saws have better systems like a door that covers the blade and gets opened/removed when a blade is replaced.

Blade guard should have a gap/slot to pass the blade through

Yes it does but it is very tricky to get the blade through that gap.

I remove the blade guide from my Hafco. It comes off fairly easily and clears the way.

Not sure if this is similar on other models.

How do you do that? I can't see any screws or bolts to remove

I have been on the road and just got home to check.
Looking at your model, mine is quite a different set up and has 3 screws to allow it to be removed.

    Sorry to confuse.
