Circle turning jig
Has anyoine heard of a jig for turning circular work on a band saw? I believe they are commercially available somewhere.
Home made ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Cutting circles on a bandsaw is easy as.
Get a scrap bit of mdf or particle board etc. Bang a small nail through it so that the point comes slightly through the top side. Place your timber to be cut on the nail, clamp the base to the bandsaw table and spin it around. Make sure the pivot point is basically in line with the blade.
There's a photo in the August issue of our newsletter on

No need to buy a commercial jig.If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.
