Cleaning Table on new 17" Bandsaw
I have a new SBW-2300CE bandsaw and the cast iron table had some plastic attached, I'm assuming to stop it rusting. It has left some residue on the table and I wanted to know if there is a particular / recommended way of cleaning it off?

I cleaned the grease off mine with turps and then waxed the table with Trad Wax ruubed well in with a kitchen scourer - left a nice smooth finish

I am pretty sure the gunks called cosmoline , last time I used kerosene to remove it.
Google "removing cosmoline" there are probably 1000's different ways to get it off...
