First day as a registered member
G'Day one and all. Still finding my way around the site, but love the idea of so much helpful advice and info being shared.
This probably isn't the place to ask this question, but I haven't found a "help with tools" forum or the like, so here goes.
My old man has a Ryobi HBS 7600 bandsaw where the "rubber tyre" liners of both wheels have perished and literally fallen to bits. Local Ryobi parts places in WA tell me they can't get the part anymore (for what it was worth, one kindly told me it's part number - 4032116) and I'm wondering if anybody has a lead on a stash of older Ryobi parts. Or ideas for a safe substitute.
If not, an otherwise sound machine will be on the verge for the next rubbish pickup.

Necessity is the mother of invention.
BS's have been "revived" by cutting rings out of old inner tubes. (as from inside car tyres.)
Welcome aboard, BTW.

Search for "Sulphur Grove" online. They make urethane tyres for just about anything ... tell them the width and diameter of the wheel, and you'll have your tyres within a few days.
They are super-easy to fit, which is a real bonus compared to the old-fashioned rubber stuff.... as long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation. (A.Hitler)
