Default Delat 10" 28-195 thrust bearing?

Hello ! Very happy I found this site and hoping to get to know a few of you good folks !
I have a Delta 10", 28-195 I purchased about 25 years ago and used it for cutting out decoy blocks from basswood. Now I use it as a back up to my Rikon 14" and after recently doing a maint. checkup on the Delta I realized the bottom thrust bearing was siezed. After removing, I noticed this eccentric mounted bearing was shot and that it was attached to a metal shaft. It appears the bearing is a 608Z but my question is: can I remove the bearing from this shaft it's attached to in order to install a new bearing ?
Any info would be greatly appreciated - Thanks !

Welcome Dave. Being an Aussie forum not too many folks here would have experience with Delta machines, unless there was a 'clone' imported into Oz.

Thanks for the reply Mobyturns - actually, after searching the net, it was the first website I found for wood working tools forums and after I posted, realized you folks were an Australian website. Heck that's ok ! I have several Aussie friends here on the Mississippi River !
Who knows, maybe someone out there has the knowledge of this topic.
    Have a great day/night ?

By the 'bottom thrust bearing' you mean the bearing for the bottom wheel? Have a look at the attached parts list. It should be possible to remove the bearing from the shaft and I can't imagine that it would be difficult to source from a bearing/engineering supplies place. You would need to check that the seized bearing has not damaged any other associated parts.

Thanks for the reply ALDAV - The thrust bearing is what the back of the blade rides up against when feeding wood into the saw.
I already have the new bearings for it and was just trying to find out if anyone had ever drifted the shaft out through the bearing in this situation.
So just to get ya up to speed I knew one way or another I would have to force the bearing off the shaft so I rested it in the bench vice and tapped on the shaft end and it came out with a little persuasion. I plan on using my drill press as a press to push the new bearing onto the shaft after making a jig to keep it straight. Thanks !
