Durden 1200 bandsaw
Hi everyone , I’m new to this site and recently bought an old Durden 1200 bandsaw . Hopefully someone here can help me with info re maintenance and parts . A machine manual would be great ,a photocopy or scan would be wonderful . Is this company still manufacturing and what parts are still available . Thanks in advance for any help or advice , cheers Gordon

Parts for any Durden products are near impossible to obtain, you may have some luck in used bits and pieces but even that is rare, you will most likely have to make them or modify other brand parts
As for maintenance a bandsaw is a bandsaw and pretty much all need the same maintenance, so a search on bandsaw maintenance and set up will assist you.

Thanks China ,I thought that may be the case ,oh well I didn’t pay to much for it and it appears to be in pretty good nick . I know for sure it hasn’t been used for at least 25 years ,but seems to run well ,so we’ll see ,cheers Gordon

If it hasn't been used much you shouldn't have many problems with it. The only thing that may have deteriorated over that time could be the tyres as the rubber perishes over time even when not used, but you may be lucky.
There was a manual around in this thread but Marcopolo hasn't been on here for a couple of years. You could always try to send him a PM as he should get an email if he still has a link set up.Dallas

Durden B1200 bandsaw mitre gauge
Shed Guy, did you ever get a manual for your 1200? I can scan one for you.
Secondly, I have a 'new type mitre gauge fitted with stop rods'.
I have the gauge, but not the stop rods. Can anyone post a photo of what they should look like?
thanks
Norman
