Default Durden BS1200 - Any tips?

Arrived home this morning from a garage sale with a Durden BS1200 bandsaw. I wasn't in the market for a bandsaw, but....

    - it just looked so damn cute sitting in the corner (pictures don't do it justice)
    - the cast front cover is a work of art
    - when I asked about how to raise and lower the top guides, the old gentleman selling it told me about how he lost two fingers on it because he was cutting thin stock without lowering the guide! Now that is a saw with history
    - still has the metal 'sticker' Gregory Machinery in St Lucia!
    - it seems to run like a little beauty
    - imagine having something that is Australian made!

Does anyone out there own one and do you have any tips for me.

    regards
    Graeme

Good pickup but I think that description is a code violation

Your right! I think I can see a dash or two of history still on the table.

I've got one, so has Funky Chicken.

    A top quality small bandsaw.

It has a lever operated blade detensioner so you can easily let off tension when not in use without upsetting the tension adjustment.

Tip, make sure it can't fall over.

    Excellent.

I'm about to order some blades. Do you have any suggestions for 3 or 4 blades that would cover a range of work from fine work through to resawing ? (no major works anticipated, just the odd job)
