Moby any news on the sizes you were looking up???
Did some more work on the bandsaw today and started to reassemble a few of the parts before I loose them.
I seem to be short a few knobs . Also the know at the top should be in the side not the front, what goes in the hole at the front????

Took ages to sand and scrap the table this far and still away to go on it. Interesting when you spray G15 on it it turns the rust black.

Here is the new trunion plate I made to replace the expoy filled lump of washers. Still need to drill the hole.

Spent many hours with the angle grinder removing rust, smoothing the welds, radius-ing the corners, and smoothing the really rough plasma cut edges.

I sprayed the covers and they were touch dry but the fell over on to some rages and that was enough to leave dents in the paint so i have to sand them back again and respray. Interesting it seems the paint forms a skin but it takes weeks to actually harden. Anyone else had this kind of issue??…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands

Oops, I forgot, the dog ate my homework .......
Henry Bros Carbon 3/8" 4 tpi 1970mm
Be warned it may be too long for your band saw as mine has a spacer block under the top wheel support.

If you set the blade tensioning block to approximately the centre of its travel and then run a tape measure around the same path that the blade travels, you will get the length required.

Perhaps centre the adjustment then use a piece of string pulled tight?

Nice work restoring this one. Mine's taken me a couple years now with long breaks in-between. Saw you mulling over the length of the blade. I've just measured mine and am going with 76" or 1,930mm length.
Have had to buy a new motor, tires, and a new vee pulley belt too. Those parts all cost more than what the whole unit would be worth in the end, but it's been a fun project. We'll have to race them off each other once we've both finished out restorations!
Cheers,

I just did this and posted up a quick video as photographs were going to be too difficult whilst in the midst of it. Regardless of what the instructions say, you definitely need boiling water for this to work.
