    Default Finally got new saw......

Thanks to all who provided advice over the last couple of months on saw choice. I was looking for a larger saw to complement my 14" Jet and settled on a 24" Agazzani from For wood tools in WA. Coupled with a 1.5" stellite tipped 1.6mm kerf resaw blade from Henry Brothers, I can now resaw with minimum waste and give the little Jet a break.

    Pic below.

That looks like one serious piece of equipment in a seriously large workshop.

    Show us your shed mate.

Ok a couple of pics. I thought it was pretty large too when I moved in but I reckon I could use double the space now.

Seriously though, a quick plug for for wood tools ( no affiliation etc etc) Steve was great to deal with, bloody good pricing and immaculate packing job to get the saw to Hobart in one piece from WA. The 24" saw was less than 200 bucks more than the 21" saw too.

    regards,

    That's a huge shed.

It makes your machinery look so small in comparison. Was it some sort of warehouse at some stage? They look like 6m+ high walls. You could probably reclaim some of that space with a mezzanine level or two.

Perfect size for building that 40ft catamaran.

  Bloody hell that is some shed, the area that I have to work with would just about fit in the area covered by the boat. You could just about need roller skates to get from one end to the other.

    Bloggs,
What is the boat that is in the photos? Looks like the sort of boat that I would love to make eventually. After the canoe, then the PDRacer

    That's not a shed. It's a bloody factory !

Please put up some bikini calendars and we'll call it a shed.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

    hi peter,

roller skates would be bloody excellent some days! You do clock up a couple of kms a week just walking from job to job. It really makes you think about what you want where.

    Hi Rowan.

boat in the foreground is a modified spindrift 11N ( See http://www.bandbyachtdesigns.com/)

boat in the back is a David Payne 3m sailing dinghy

Building jig in the background is off the keels for a 43' Grainger design catamaran and I have just started the lofting for 2 Oughtred Caledonia Yawls.

    Busy but fun.

    regards,

    AD
