guide blocks
i have brass guide blocks on my hyco bandsaw,are these still used today or should i invest in bakerlite or ceramic guides

Why not cut some redgum blocks and soak them in linseed oil for a couple of days, save a bundle and they work just as well.
The other plus is if the adjustment moves and the blade slides into the guides it won't damage the kerf.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

i'm looking at replacing the plastic guide blocks in my 14" bandsaw .. with roller guide blocks. has anyone used such items ?
