Thanks for the update, Mat. I'll let my two mates with Hammer BSs know that a solution is on the way. Any idea when?

Out of interest what problems are your mates having with their BS guides?

I have a N4400 and haven't as yet had any issues with the guides.

    Thanks.

Gareth, both have had the same problem with the top back bearing getting "cuts" in it. I'll try to get some pics.

    Smile Hammer Changing their Guides

I fitted these two months ago to my Hammer N4400 and they are so much better than the originals. A bit of mucking around with the infinitely variable set up adjustments but then they run perfectly.

Very interesting to see the new guides but does anyone know how much they cost?

However, I see the bottom set of guides is still a bugger to adjust.
For the old guides, I drilled a hole in the side of my Hammer to make it easy to use an Allen key directly on the bottom guides.

    Hi Paul,
like all things Felder they are not cheap at $266.40 each one for upper and one for lower. In my case as I only use the bandsaw for ripping down timber the difference was certainly very noticeable in regard to blade stability and more so in regard to cutting accuracy.
    Cheers,
