Default Help with Carba-Tec 17" bandsaw

    G'day -
I recently bought a second-hand one of these.

I was hoping someone with one would be able to send me a close-up photo of the top wheel hinge.

On mine, the tension lever will not tension the blade without a packer inserted below the cam and the tension gauge does not register at all until the tension hand wheel is half-way in.

    I suspect misassemby...

Thanks, but not really - apart from the admonition to check everything on a second-hand tool.

At some point I will check for run-out and coplaniarity; however, the blade tracks fine.

What doesn't work correctly - without a shim - is the blade tension cam.

Can anyone help out with a photo of a correctly-assembled top wheel hinge?

My first thought - but it measures 3335mm, as per the Carba-Tec website.

If you would, I would appreciate it. I'd "drop in" to my "local" Carba-Tec- but it's about two hours away...
