    Default hyco bandsaw

    hi everyone
I am new to this group and woodworking in general.
i have a hyco bandsaw and would like to know if anyone has heard of the brand and what horsepower motor you would need.
It is 1950,s vintage i think , the frame is cast and it weighs a ton.
Any sugestions on making a stand for it and how high should the table be from the ground.
I retrieved it from my dads shed after he passed away aswell as a paulcal combination table saw and jointer

    Thumbs up

Have the same machine. Will check it out and let you know. What length blade is on your machine? Mine came with steel stand but I feel it is too low.Had it retyred with moulded polyurethane some years ago but not the best move.Set it to a height that suits you, somewhere between waist and chest height for the table.Good luck.

I have the same machine and was thinking of going for the urethane tyres. What did you not like about them??
