    Default is this any good?

Anyone know anything about this saw.

I don't know much about bandsaws and have never had one. Used some back in High School but thats it.

Lately, Ive been getting to stages of jobs and thinking, "gee, if I had a bandsaw I could do this"

So im looking for a good entry level bandsaw. Has anyone got a recommendation.

Given i have just over the last few months spent a fortune on jointer/thicknesser and Drill Press, SWMBO wont be too impressed about me spending anymore...

    Any thougths on this model?

    Maybe.

I am stoked with my BAS-350 from Carbatec, after I got rid of the bandsaw similar to the one in the link. ( It wasn't a Timbecon badged product). The BAS-350 has 200 mm depth of cut instead of 150 mm , 1.5 hp motor as opposed to 3/4 hp and many other features which puts the style of saw in the link in the dark ages. Once you have a bandsaw in your shed you'll find out how usefull they are. Don't skimp, buy the best you can afford. I did and I'm extremely happy.
