Kreg Precision Bandsaw Fence
I bought a Kreg Precision Bandsaw Fence to go with the CT BAS-350 14" bandsaw. A word of warning to anyone who buys it for this particular saw is that you will have to drill holes in the mounting frame since none of the existing holes align with the holes in the table.
Something else to consider is that when you drill the holes, make sure the holes give enough room for the 'clamp block' to sit flush or below the table surface. I discovered this when I setup the fence, but the fence couldn't contact the timber because the clamp block was sitting too high and colliding with the base of the timber. I made a bit of mess trying to elongate the holes, but it now works fine.
Has anyone with the BAS-350 felt a bit nervous that the single trunion and bolt is the only thing supporting the table? I noticed that some of the bandsaws sold by Grizzly, Rigid, Delta, Powermatic have two trunions to support the table...

I made an adaptor plate out of some aluminium flat bar to fix a kreg to my old tanner. Works fine.
Mine has a single trunnion as well, and I can't say it has ever given any cause for concern. It's a pretty heavy & solid one though...

Have you had any issues with your fence since you bought it?
What worries me with the trunion is that with the bolt loosened (or if it wasn't there), the table would fall off. The only thing keeping the table connected to the trunion, is a bolt, and that bolt has a plastic nut on it. If the plastic nut fails that would be the end of the table and the fence system. Probably should replace the nut with something sturdier or have something to support the table on the other side.

The fence has been brilliant - more than lives up to the hype! No issues whatsoever.
It does sound like an odd little arrangement if the table is free to come off when the bolt is loose. Probably wise to get a metal nut and to see what other engineering fixes you can do to make it all a bit mor sturdy.

I love the Kreg fence on my BAS-350, has done everything I've asked of it and can't say I have had any probs with the trunnion on mine.
You should find some info on it by searching thru some of my posts under my old user name DJ's Timber.Cheers

I love mine also, had it a couple of years now. My only complaint is I wish it was a bit longer, I have a 20" bandsaw.
SBPower corrupts, absolute power means we can run a hell of alot of power tools

It's good to hear all of you are happy with the Kreg bandsaw fence so far.
Superbunny, have you considered attaching a piece of MDF or plywood to the Kreg fence using counterbored holes + bolts? That way you can "extend" the fence length a bit.
Thanks for the link...Been eyeing the urethane tyres now since I noticed a deep groove on one of mine. I thought this might affect blade tracking but its all good so far
