Interesting manufacturing video
Hello folks
Happened to stumble across this video which I thought might be of interest.
A cheesy how it's made production.
How It's Made: Band Saws - YouTube
One very interesting thing is the application of contact adhesive.
Since most of these types, (not sure about the fancy 3m stuff like this, if it's the same)

but for the cheaper adhesives, (for rubber or leather at least)
It is the case that one applies it to both surfaces waits for the stuff to nearly dry or touch dry, some shoe makers use some similar water based stuff and let it go off fully, whilst keeping it under an infrared heat lamp or oven on just the rubber soles like vibram but not to the leather,
unsure if this is safe with other types of contact adhesive due to flammable effect?

I digress as I don't know if that would be the same for the cheaper stuff,
and as said unsure if the same method is best for say cast iron and rubber, but this leads me to think so.
I note that there as a coat already applied to the cast iron beforehand and looks to be touch dry,
no second coat on the rubber though,
(The wheel that is above the other is specifically for the job)

And for folks who don't think that alignment matters, as in bottom wheel jacking, it might sway one to
check their wheels.
Bit odd that they wouldn't do this with the right blade for the machine (ala Centauro thinking)
suitably tensioned, since the upper wheel is possibly free to move about, seemingly not with this jig looking again,
This could likely be just an illustration for the TV show, but it might likely be these register against the wheel, hard to tell from a clip.
I'd love to see this machine and jig being used in more detail, as it's the only jig I've ever seen for this purpose.
It's got plenty of bells and whistles which looks to make contact to me.
Could this be what Spagnuolo was on about?
