    Default Any Metabo BAS261 thoughts?

    I am looking at getting a small bandsaw to supplement my Laguna SUV14. I have an old GMC that has proven quite handy on small jobs but is missing a fence. Total Tools currently have the BAS261 on special at $439.
    Does anyone have any experience with this model? Is so what are your thoughts?
    Can anyone suggest a different brand in that size that I should consider?

    I have one of these, I enjoy using it, it has given me no trouble, a little fiddle setting the lower thrust bearings, the trick is to remove the table to get better clearance. I use it 99% of the time in radiate pine, but have also used it on 19mm jarrah and Blackwood. Predominantly I use it for re-sawing small sections for toys, circle cutting etc.
