Question Newbies First Bandsaw - Ryobi HBS100

    Hi all
My first bandsaw; an old Ryobi HBS100
was recently donated to me. The drive bands are dry and cracked, and probably will not last long. Following advice on this site, I purchased a new 10mm 6tpi blade and the unit cuts well. Until I am confident in bandsaw use, I will use my "cheapie" before purchasing a better unit.
I live in Fremantle and would appreciate any advice re availability of parts, e.g. service/repair centre, drive bands, etc.

Edit: Also seeking a Manual. Any costs involved will be reimbursed.

Is that the one with 3 little wheels for the blade to run on?? If it is, you have my deepest sympathy. We had one a the Day Centre where I help out, and I had one also.
The best thing I did with mine was get $20.00 for it at Crime Converters. We couldn't keep blades on it, they kept breaking, no matter what I did with it.

You got it mate! I have already discovered its limitations and will cannibalise it for anything useful, eg; pulleys, threaded knobs, nuts, bolts, etc; and use the electric motor to make a small disc sander while the remainder will be binned.
