Is it a re-badged Laguna LT 14" 3000 SUV bandsaw?
Hi all,
While researching band saws I came across this...
Harvey 14" Bandsaw - Timberwork
Couldn't find any reviews or anything other than what's on the website. Is it a re-badged Laguna 14" 3000 SUV bandsaw? Hmm, curious.
Thoughts it might be of interest...

Does look very much like it, and there was some discussion on another thread about Harvey stuff coming out of the same factory as Laguna.
Not sure if the specs/quality of components would be identical - often these factories churn out the same design for a number of vendors, but with variations in the quality of bearings, motor, etc. depending on the price point they are trying to hit.

Looks very similar - including the specs. The guides appear to be different, and for Laguna I believe they are subject to a patent. So may be this the/a difference.

Laguna 14SUV
Doesn't the Laguna 14SUV have a foot pedal brake ?
could be where there is some savings hence cheaper price.
plus the Laguna 3D Name badges must cost a packet

The Laguna does have a foot brake. However, the text with the Harvey description says that it has one, but non is in the photograph. Laguna also has a wheel for raising and lowering the upper guide - Harvey does not.. The upper guide on the Laguna is different to that shown on the Harvey. The motor on the Harvey is different to the Laguna - both about the same power rating. The Start/Stop buttons on the Harvey are different. The photograph of the Harvey shows something on the top of the saw next to the tension wheel that does not exist on the Laguna. Having pointed out some differences, this does not mean that their performance is much different.

I've been looking around for a new bandsaw too, and this popped up on ebay for only 1,400, thats without shipping included yet. Does anyone know how it compares to the price of the Laguna?

Apologies for bumping an old thread here, but it seemed like a fairly logical one to also post a bandsaw I'm considering. I just inspected this at "Get Woodworking" in Williamstown, and it's from the same factory as Harvey apparantely.
Anyone have any thoughts on it? MWE-BS1412DX Bandsaw - Major Woodworking Equipment
I also looked at a 16" Ledacraft saw, and believe it or not, this little 14" saw has bigger Re-saw capacity!, everything on the machine looked to be high quality, especially the table, and fence system.
