Recommendations wanted for tyre and blade sales
Looking for an online store with a good selection of blades and also tyres. I'm hoping to find a one-stop shop but I'm not having much luck.
Have also heard of skip tooth blades and was thinking of giving one of those a go.
I'm have a 14" Toolmac saw
Thanks in advance

Nothing at all ?
I found a site on Ebay for the "Band Saw Tire Warehouse" and it seems very impressive, listing many makes and models of saws ( mine is not listed) but that confused me........the sites I have found in Australia just list the tyres by the wheel size not make / model etc
Is it necessary to buy with make and model or is a 14" inch wheel the same on every saw ?

Unfortunately, sourcing parts for any wood working machinery, including the "major brands," in Australia is a frustrating exercise for even the most experienced woody.
Many of the recognized brands have been bounced about between the "major" players as the "importer" of a brand, however there have been parallel imports of "similar" machines with different spec levels i.e. Euro or roller bearing guides, wheels, tires, etc and many "clones" of the one design - Woodfast / Record / Grizzly / generic etc.
Pretty much "standard" consumable parts like roller bearings or Euro guides are not easy to find. Been there and still looking ........ as I've been trying to source a "better" guide setup for my Woodfast BS500. The current Euro guides are flogged, and any replacement is looking at $350 + then freight, the shipping delay etc.
Even the courtesy of a reply from the "vendors" would be nice, and appreciated. Its an area (parts availability) that the ACCC should look into, but they have bigger fish to chase where they can pick up multi-million dollar fines from the Big 4 banks, Telstra & the other Telcos .....
Sourcing parts for a "Toolmac" - good luck.Mobyturns

Im only looking to replace the tyres just trying to find out if the wheel diameter is all the info I need to buy them.
maybe I'll just buy a new saw that isn't rebranded / generic ( I think Harvey fits the bill ? )

'Toolmac' was a brand of Gasweld in Australia, since superseded by 'Toolex'. Virtually all Gasweld's machines were rebranded imports made in Taiwan. In the early days (90's and even into the 00's) they were all painted 'Taiwan green'. If you do a bit of a search on generic Taiwan sourced 14" bandsaws you should be able to turn something up. Sometimes an image search will be a big help in locating information.

Wheel diameter & width. Gregory's carry Carter products - Carter Urethane Bandsaw Tires (Each) - Gregory Machinery (gregmach.com) if they have stock that is.

thanks for the info, I sold off a newer saw and got the toolex because I like the cast iron frame, mine is the traditional green colour.
I prefer the older equipment but trying to get hold of an old 'brand name' saw instead of generic seems to be harder than I thought
thank you
