    Default Recommended Bandsaw blades

    Hi Everyone,

Would like your experience and thoughts on bandsaw blades you would recommend. Both from a specification point and also brands that you have found that last well.

    Regards
    Stephen

I haven't yet done business with these folks myself, but I hear a lot of happy customers giving them praise: https://www.henrybrossaws.com.au/bandsaws.htm

As far as blade types - it'll be whatever suits your work. Curve work requires a narrow blade. Resawing benefits from a resaw blade (usually a wide blade, with few TPI).

Give us some indication of what you're doing, and I'm sure many can chime in with recommendations.

As a ballpark rule, aim to have no more than 3-4 teeth buried in the wood at the same time (hence the note on resaw blade TPI above).

Give Henry Bros a call, talk to them about what you need from to do with your bandsaw and they will give you great advice and service.

    Regards, Peter

I’m a happy Henry Bros customer, I have a Lenox Woodmaster B for resawing and ripping, but next time I’m going to consider trying a Carbide tipped I think. I have narrow blades for curves too, but I don’t care about quality much on those.
